ACNM Guest Blogging

By some incredible twist of fate, I am now guest-blogging at the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) website. I am so, so thankful for the opportunity to focus specifically on the first year after graduation and into midwifery practice. After the introductory post, today I posted about studying for and passing the midwifery certification exam (huge thanks to my former classmates and others on Facebook for submitting words of kindness and advice for the post!). That exam is certainly a doozy, and I hope that my words and the wisdom from others will help those future midwives currently studying!Some days I feel like this, and other days close friends and family tell me that I should feel like this. Either way, I'm taking Henci Goer and Amy Romano's Optimal Care in Childbirth book to bed and prepping for a 7a-7p shift on labor and birth tomorrow!
